Suggested Answers to Homework Problems

All the answers represent one of many potential correct methods for solving the problems assigned in class. Just because your program doesn’t look like these programs does not mean that the program is incorrect or invalid.

Book Exercises

• 4.51: display the sum of the integer interval from 11 to 29
• 4.52: display the partial factorial of two integers (b!/(a-1)!)
• 4.65: display a triangle built with numbers

Non-book Exercises

• Re-do the solution to exercise 3.22 (page 144) as a separate function using a nested for loop. The separate function must have the following prototype:
  void DrawCheckerboard(SimpleWindow &w);
• Integer “guessing game”
