Practice Test to prepare for Practical #11 on April 17

Please read the entire problem before jumping into the code!

Using the in-class examples as a guide, modify your Date class to have the following additional characteristics:

• An addition operator for adding two Date objects together. It will leave the arguments unchanged, but will return a (correctly bounded) Date object based on their sum.
• A stream-output operator (<<) for the Date object that will output the date in mm/dd/yy format.
• A static class data member that holds the separator character. By default, the separator should be the slash (‘/’) character.
• A class function that can be used to change the separator character.
• Inspector functions that each return the month, day or year as an integer.

Update your driver program to test all the permutations—both the new ones for correctness and the old ones to make sure you didn’t break anything—of your class, as seen in lecture examples. Your class definition, implementation and driver program should all be in separate files. If you want them reviewed, submit your copies to the FTP site in a separate folder called P11PREP and send email to jim3@millard.org.
